Some multiple media discourse went on so much information in this autumn to the beginning of winter seasons here in Tokyo. So much blowing up with so much words in recent post Hesei year. I had something tell you about that film, finally got answers to questions; why'd this films picks up the imperialist thème ?

It's been almost three decades switched the period Sho-wa to Heisei. I had a chance to hear what was like showas era, and how was like when the falling of the emperor which is there was a weird atmosphere at that time. And the new age is coming. But all the same etcetera so go on. Online misogyny shows that Japanese society itself ended up with showa era and there must be “most of us” will be lost in the somewhere in between third world.

In Japan, there's the cultural gaps Tokyo and urban area but it's all myth that someone created someone talked to others at once. I have got new shoes by my selection was fifteen, red hi-cut shoes. No one likes it, at that time. The people have more cool vibes or cherish mood. Kawaii. Red hi-cut is not so cute or cool, just looks like convers, it's actually timberland. I wanted to iconic one, mountain shoes, but it's for youngster, not for girl with long hair, no smile no smoke, haven't feelings and sense of fashionista. I think I am a fashionable through my adult eye, every items was suits me and suited the time, represent my self. That's the fashionista. Once I was admired by my classmate, “you're always good look, you have a sense”. But for me that admiring words converted into my left side brain translated to this word “you brought clothes from the shops, not supermarket!” Oh, thanks. That's all.

I didn't have a critical eye. So everything that time happened was all fictional thing and a vague reality for me. I think the people illuminated their reality for example the womans has not power actually but they were so, almost macho type or represents great mother archetypes. So brave and selfcontrol. I wouldn't imagine if you're a woman and Japanese you're a prisoner keep going and eternal giveaway to a man; it's also good thing(putting Zen Buddhism). I feel comfortable here in Substack. I was recognized this site or service, when was I'm just browsing something specific topic really academic one, Greek mythology or something. Academy, academic circle was less familiar since around the internet era coming age, most of journal, college publication and magazines went on the way of so long history but no one read it anymore. Well, I read, actually. I am the one.

But most of us, stuck in the internet mold or something. I like internet, well I like website, blogs, tweeting logs or something (most of Japanese didn't use social, just like journaling something everyday life). I love blackberry, looks like 28, no jobs, no friend but had a chance kinda thing. Instead of I don't use it. I use cyber shot phone. Good camera by the way.

(Ohh, is that talking about Sherlock? Yeah we were living in such life in college days, escaping from classmate’s depressive active behavior abcd psycho frick or something).

How can I say that? Well, Twitter launched around 2009, looks like outsider ish tweets, edgy thought, more sophisticated than youtube comments. If you're a Japanese person, living country side or Tokyo alone situation (your rent was located in bed town), but if you have a Twitter account, you're going to the internet clouds or something. Tech company, San Francisco, California beach…using Japanese language only.

Everything is happening here. Job opportunities, the people's attention, make money(does anyone). Sell the yourself, sell the souls, sell the friends, sell the weekend silliness. You're lost. Champagne, anecdotes, and young blood. (Hey Scott can you send me next talent…well it's more spoken one but not annoying.. ah! of course good looking, haha)

I still using search engine, read blogs since late 90s or early 2000s. Lost and found. Sometimes I cared so much social media but in my case, still remains a good cozy time. World news. It's already end of late 60s, actually. Mega death. In depression 70s, we were listening to good records. According to Francis Fukuyama, we living in the end of history, actually.

It's right. This is the end of the world. Here and everywhere, tears of modern manner. It's Modern, actually.

Just before Princess Mononoke

Miyazaki, as an animator, has done a lot of work in broadcasting animation since he became an employee in Toei animation. He was a manga artist (still working with the magazine, maybe so called cartoons), and he became an animator after the graduation of college.

He entered college just around late 50s. The 60s when the Civil rights movements in Japan, so many students got into post world war two's rapidly approaching to the 19th to 20th century world. They think they're all fascist. Miyazaki also got into anti war enthusiasm, but in later years, he was a kind of middleman. In the interview when the wind rises out, he says, “My dad generation's, they just think the war was Waseda vs Keio.” It's just like college students-ish war. They don't blame it, but just escalate it by the far right newspaper. I think there are so many witnesses here, but does he think so? The answer is The Wind Rises and The Boy and The Heron (I would later pick up these two titles).

In the 50s world, so many outcasts stand for something liberal, modern, encouraging someone and something. I don't know exactly the matter of what's happening in younger generations. But in my opinion, we can't divide post world war pre world war; it's just an illusion that the world or others (which is, T.S. Eliot says, the world ends. But what world).

On the other hand, more cultural changes happen at a younger age, such as the Beatles, Bob Dylan, well I want to added, Moebius. (And also, Godard?)

Libération, whatever it is, that feelings are not for everyone, especially older generations. They saw the modernism movement and broke the war time; totalitarianism. My main point marks

Miyazaki films: one of the most important films between 1980s-2020s, he still lives with us and continues to make new films. He often says, “I was lucky, lucky person who worked in the film industry in its not digital era; paper and pen.” Of course, studio Ghibli uses the computer digital soft since Princess Mononoke, but it's taste a lot of warm pendrawing lines, good dim color control (it was, his best friend, co-workers work) and all the sounds effects was human voices (especially, that techniques used in The Wind Rises).

And with collaborating artists, singers and actors (he doesn't have casting the voice actors, because of “no good” acting such as anime voice actors) always has invited an open master mind which is just abandoned by misunderstanding customers; it's a kind of children's good rare books. That treasurestic fantasy world: that is Ghibli's regency. Definitely it is.

We are now living in an apocalyptic world everyone thinks so, and sure it is, what happened in the 20th century world. But in the 80s, of course the 90s, it was a mere fact. Take a look at a documentary on the famous legendary book Martin Bernal’s Black Athena. We live in a completely different world, with a different aesthetic that almost comes from the roman empire era.

Ghibli’s controversy, I don't want to argue that, but I just described the 90s controversy world, that is my mere principle if I write about Ghibli, as I, myself, grew up with that controversial world. I hope it would work well, and become a thankful thing if I had my own opinion. If we discover something even if we were all lost in history (maybe now the end of history? And the end of history, too long a time). It's a discovery, I think. Definitely it is.
